May 21, 2012 — Computer Associates today announced that Robert Casale of CAI has been elected to the Board of Directors for the New England Chapter of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI). Elections were held at the chapter’s Annual Meeting in May. Mr. Casale will serve in this role for a three year period.

The International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) is an association of professionals from various segments of the precious metals community, from miners and producers to users, manufacturers, bankers and traders. IPMI facilitates the exchange of information about all segments of the precious metals business through educational meetings, technical seminars, book publications and student scholarships for research in precious metals.

The New England Chapter of IPMI supports regional precious metals businesses including the jewelry and related industries, manufacturers, refiners, suppliers, and financiers. It focuses on providing timely and educational information on topics including precious metals markets, environmental and regulatory updates, security and control, insurance, ownership structures, industry history and trends, and the economy.

It also supports local college programs and encourages and rewards students seeking entry into the jewelry industry. IPMI NE's Jewelry Design Awards is an annual event which showcases and recognizes the wealth of talent, design, technical and manufacturing skills of students participating in jewelry and metalsmithing curriculums.
