Ezycom has made public version 2.15g1 on their website. This is for registered users only. http://www.ezybbs.com/ You can also get a free reg for a 4 node version of ezy at that website!

Here is the whatsnew file:

Ezycom Registered Only Version 2.15g1 - What's New!

(Some options may not be fully enabled in this GAMMA release)

o TO START:
1. As Above
2. Install or copy all files to your Ezycom System Dir
3. Run EZYCFG.EXE for each node
4. Run UpdLang.exe This is necessary and will completely reset all
prompts to their default settings, including colours

o EZY:
1. New Gamma Version
2. When the RT Clock is used on really fast computers, P3-700mhz,
P4s, AMD Sempron 2800+ and above, it caused Ezycom to "lock up"
when it got to the first menu that used the RTC. A new command
line option, -CLK has been added to counter this. "Ticks"
can be any value from 50 to 200. It is suggested that you
experiment to find a suitable value. Local logins are not
affected, however, this may not be the case in some circumstances.
3. Increased number of messages in the square brackets [xxx] in a
new mail scan to 4 digits, ie, [xxxx]. A maximum of 9999
messages/area can be displayed before [****] is shown instead

o EZYCFG:
1. New Gamma Version
2. The Global CD Drive and STACK options are now actually working
as intended and have been combined into the one operation
3. The File PATH menu option has been removed and the functions
merged with the File AREA menu. To access the path information,
scroll through, page down or press 'END' to get to the prompt
"Edit Path Info" and press . Pres Esc to return to the
File Area page
4. When entering the PATH name in AREA PATHS, if the directory does
not exist, a prompt will be displayed asking if you want to
create it. Answer (Yes) and it will be done, answer (N)o and the
prompt will be there but the path will not be created. This is so
you can re-edit the path in case you made a mistake when entering
the path info
5. File Areas can now be moved from one area to another. Pressing
'F5' will bring up a pick list of available areas to choose from.
Be careful when using this option as it WILL overwrite an existing
area
6. Changed the INS/DEL key combinations to use the function keys F3 &
F4 to Insert & Delete, respectively. Screens/Menus affected are
Limits 1 & 2, File Areas/Paths, Message Areas, etc. Others will be
changed in future releases
7. The colour scheme in EzyCfg has been changed slightly.
8. Fixed the 'Default: |G#f |M#kk |B#d |W#n(#c) |YUpldr: #u#r|W #l'
sysop/user file line - finally. :)
9. You are now able to add a descriptive text to the event to help you
remember the purpose for the event. (for those with "old-timers" :)
10. Fixed problem with new data in the file AREA screen not being saved
before switching to the file PATH screen.

o FEDIT:
1. Fixed a long-standing bug since at least v1.20, where, if you edit
an uploader (Ctrl-S), then return to the files display screen and
edit the file data, the up/dn arrow keys were disabled. This bug
has apparently gone unnoticed until now.

o EZYUTIL:
1. The STRIPMSG option now works and has been enhanced to include the
MSGAREA in the -L. This negates the need for the -A sub
option, previously used with the -STRIPMSG command.
An example command line now would be:
EZYUTIL -STRIPMSG -Lstrip.txt -N1
The contents of "strip.txt" would be the area number, the type and
the name/subject string to search for. For example, if strip.txt
contained the following four lines,
22 F Joe Bloggs
86 B Mary Bloggs
33 T Harry Houdini
98 S An Odd Subject
Then Ezyutil would delete any message found in area 22 with "Joe
Bloggs" in the FROM field, any message found in area 86 with "Mary
Bloggs" in the FROM *OR* the TO fields, any message found in area
33 with "Harry Houdini" in the TO field, or any message found in
area 98 with "An Odd Subject" in the SUBJECT field.
Strings are not case sensitive and partial strings will also be
deleted, ie, any message with "An Odd" in the Subject line in area
98 would be deleted.
Putting a 0 (zero) in the area field causes Ezyutil to scan
every defined area for messages to be deleted
2. Ezyutil -UNDELETE now has an extra option, -GLOBAL. If -GLOBAL is
turned on, Ezyutil will undelete every deleted message in every
defined message area. BE WARNED... this can fill up your log files
rather quickly. :)
3. Modified the -? Help screen a little bit.
4. EzyUtil now checks a text file such as BACKBONE.* for the correct
EOL markers before processing begins. If the incorrect EOL marker
is found, EzyUtil will shut down after logging the incident to the
maintenance log file and also to the screen.
5. Added log info for download batch file hitory -BATCHOLD
6. Logstrip option -L has been changed to -CTL to accomodate the new
log stripping routines.

The format of the .CTL file is:

; Lines beginning with ; are ignored. Having them though, slows up
; processing. :)
; Full path & filename of log file ##
; Change or delete these path/file names to suit your setup.
C:\EZY\LOG\AFX6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\ELM6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EMU6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EOL6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\ETI6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EZY1.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EZY2.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EZY3.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EZY4.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EZY5.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\EZY6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\FIL6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\FIL8.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\IDX6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\MSG6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\MTS6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\NET6.LOG
C:\EZY\LOG\USR6.LOG
; The following file doesn't exist so Ezyutil should skip it with
no errors.
C:\EZY\LOG\UT26.LOG

In a futer version, EzyUtil will use the log path info as set up
in Ezycfg if no '\' is found in the filename line.

o EZYMENU:
1. Altered the text on prompts 83, 84 & 86. F4: Prompt changed to
F4: Edit Prompt
2. Added a "popup" ruler in the menu edit screen to assist sysops
with alignment of screen information over several menu options
